ST. THOMAS MORE SCHOOL

On Dec. 19, 2018, St. Thomas More School, Salisbury Township, hosted an event in which 11 children and one family awaiting a home through Habitat for Humanity, received Christmas gifts.

The Faith Build Home will be located on 412 Keystone Ave.

Gina Loiacono and Jayme Lehman, both teachers at St Thomas More School, played a large role in raising funds.

Lehman is the student council advisor at the school.

St. Thomas More students raised $10,000 through events such as pajama day, a door decorating contest and several other fundraisers. Approximately $2,000 was used to purchase Christmas gifts for 11 children.

Students, teachers, staff and parents were among the attendees at a holiday party for those helped by the fundraisers.

Jessica Elliott from Habitat for Humanity was among the guests and said a few words and discussed the house being built for the family.
