LVHN dispenses drive-through flu shots

BY LOU WHEELAND

Special to The Press

Once again, the Lehigh Valley Health Network contributed to the welfare of Lehigh Valley residents with two drive-through influenza inoculations Nov. 7 at Dorney Park and Nov. 8 at Coca-Cola Park,

Thousands of Lehigh Valley residents waited patiently for their opportunity to get “shot” at Dorney Park, South Whitehall.

Hundreds of LVHN employees and volunteers were on hand to guide, administer and follow up with flu shots to protect residents from the seasonal flu.

It is deemed important to be inoculated from the seasonal flu even though the news has been filled with COVID-19 updates and statistics.

Without protection from the seasonal flu, a bout of this flu would probably make a person even more susceptible to COVID-19.
