Doors open at 7 p.m. UFO, which formed in England in 1968, has released 22 studio albums, from “UFO 1” (1970) to “The Salentino Cuts” (2017); sold more than 20 million albums, with the group’s most popular songs including “Doctor Doctor,” “Rock Bottom,” “Natural Thing,” “Lights Out,” “Too Hot to Handle” and “Only You Can Rock Me.” The UFO lineup is: Phil Mogg, vocals; Vinnie Moore, lead guitar; Neil Carter, keyboards, rhythm guitar; Rob De Luca, bass, and Andy Parker, drums. Mogg, the only original UFO member, has announced he will retire after the group’s 50th anniversary 2019 tour. Blue Öyster Cult (BÖC), a United States hard rock band formed on Long Island, N.Y., in 1967, has released 13 studio albums, from “BÖC” (1972) to “Curse of the Hidden Mirror” (2001), sold more than 24 million albums, was known for its music videos when MTV debuted in 1981 and has charted the hits “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper,” “Burnin’ for You,” “Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll” and “Godzilla.” “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” inspired a “Saturday Night Live” sketch, “More cowbell” (2000), featuring Christopher Walken. BÖC’s lineup is: Buck Dharma, lead guitar, vocals; Eric Bloom, lead vocals, guitar, keyboards, synthesizers; Danny Miranda, bass, backing vocals; Richie Castellano, keyboards, rhythm guitar, backing vocals, and Jules Radino, drums, percussion. Under The Tarps: Jack Murray & The Blue Tarp Wranglers starring Lenny Kaye make a rare stop, 8 p.m. Nov. 2, Godfrey Daniels, Bethlehem. Lenny Kaye is Patti Smith’s guitarist and bandleader, a rock reviewer, compiler of the seminal “Nuggets” garage band collection, record producer (Suzanne Vega) and an author (with Waylon Jennings on his autobiography, “Waylon, The Life Story of Waylon Jennings”). Jack Murray is a singer-songwriter originally from Sevierville, Tenn., now residing in Barto, Bucks County. For more than 15 years, Murray has co-hosted the “World Famous Barto Jam” with Nick Franclik at The Other Farm Brewing Company, Boyertown. Murray released his debut CD, “Then There’s That ... ” in 2008. The Tarps’ lineup includes, in addition to Murray, guitar, vocals; Alan Landes, guitar; Dave Van Allen, pedal steel guitar; Nick Franclik, bass (The Electric Farm, Dina Hall Band), and Josh Kanusky, drums (The David Bromberg Quintet).
