Joan K. (Pennebacker) Heimbach, 93, of Zionsville, died peacefully, Sept. 21, 2019, at home surrounded by family. She was the wife of Raymond C. Heimbach. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Beryl Pennebacker.

She graduated from Emmaus High School as valedictorian and from Cedar Crest College with a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics.

She taught home economics at East Greenville High School and continued her graduate study at Penn State University.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Raymond P. and Scott P. and his wife, Demi; daughter, Kim P. and her husband, Mark Schneider; granddaughter, Grace L. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry K. Pennebacker.

Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
