Trojan ice hockey remains unbeaten

The Parkland ice hockey team heads into the Christmas break with a 9-0-1 record in the Lehigh Valley Scholastic Hockey League.

Several Parkland players are among the league’s scoring leaders as Evan Dratch (18 goals, 15 assists) is second in the league with 33 points. Teammate Eric Johannes has 12 goals and 11 assists and is fifth in the league with 23 points. Parkland’s Charlie Rongo (9 goals, 11 assists) and Jake Nimeh (8 goals, 11 assists) are also among the league’s top 10.

Trojan goalie Kevin Glitz is 9-0-1 this season and has posted two shut outs. He has a 1.5 goals against average and a .885 save percentage.

The LVSHL varsity schedule resumes Monday, Jan. 4 when Parkland takes on Southern Lehigh at 7:45 p.m. at the Lehigh Valley Ice Arena. Four days later, on Friday, Jan. 8 Parkland will take on Beca/Central/Notre Dame, which is the team just behind the Trojans in the league standings. That game is slated for 7:45 at the LV Ice Arena.
