Evelyn L. Wieder, 94, of Northampton, formerly of Emmaus, died May 20, 2013, surrounded by her family, in her home. She was the wife of the late Frederick C.O. Wieder who died September 18, 2000. Born in Vera Cruz, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Daisy (Ringer) Kuehn.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus and was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1937.

She was employed by Rodale Manufacturing for 32 years until her retirement.

She was the light and the strength of the family. You probably never knew how many hearts you touched by living life that special way you did.

She is survived by children, Nadine Chlebove and her fiance Ronald Stauffer of Northampton, Nedric and his wife Carol, and Bonita Fillman, all of Emmaus; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Christofaro in 1982.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
