The Northampton Exchange Club, which sponsors several community events throughout the year such as the Jack Frost Parade and Community Days at the park, is adding another program to its calendar.

The Exchange Club's board will sponsor a Christmas Home Decorating Contest in the borough this year.

Frank Marakovits will serve as chairman of the holiday decorating committee. Serving with Marakovits on the committee are Rodger Berg, John McKenzie, Linda McKenzie and Harold Schisler.

A donation was approved to the Northampton Area Public Library for the purchase of a book in memory of Robert "Bob" Mushrush, a long time club member who passed away. He was a recipient of the Golden Deeds Award.

The membership during their twice monthly dinner meetings makes a monetary contribution to the National Exchange Club Ocean Campaign Bucket which runs through December. The funds go toward providing assistance to needy children, families and communities.
