Salisbury High School will host the Integrated Media Production – Arts, Communication, Technology Film Festival 6 p.m. May 15.

The film festival was open to all Lehigh Valley high school students in grades 9 through 12. Awards will be distributed to winners in the following categories: best film, best direction, best editing, best cinematography, best screenplay and best special effects. RCN will broadcast select films on a date following the festival.

The mission of the I.M.P.A.C.T. Film Festival is to showcase independent student films and legitimate art form, provide educational opportunties for participants across the region, encourage student-driven competition to build knowledge of the process of filmmaking and collaboration and offer the greater community a forum for the appreciation and critique of student art.

There is a charge for admission, and tickets can be purchased at the door. The film festival is sponsored by Dan's Camera City, PBS 39, RCN and the Salisbury Township School District.
